Recap: Celeste Blue Devils vs. Wolfe City Wolves
The Celeste Blue Devils lost against the Wolfe City Wolves back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Celeste took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolfe City. Celeste has not had much luck with Wolfe City recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Wolfe City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cavan Armstrong, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Adams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Celeste's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 11-11. As for Wolfe City, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-18.
Celeste will head out on the road to challenge Sam Rayburn at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wolfe City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Honey Grove at 8:00 p.m. Honey Grove presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wolfe City in Texas (Honey Grove is ranked 367th, while Wolfe City is ranked 1363rd).
