Football Recap: Bentworth Bearcats vs. Brownsville Falcons
Bentworth had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Brownsville Falcons, posting a 48-0 victory on the road. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Ben Hays had a dynamite game for Bentworth, rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Ty Watson was another key player, throwing for 58 yards and two touchdowns.
Bentworth will welcome Burgettstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bentworth is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Brownsville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bellaire at 7:00 p.m. on September 13th.
