Softball Game Preview: Cameron Dragons vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

The Cameron Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Cameron and six for Trinity Christian.

Cameron came up short against Tyler on Friday, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Grafton on Friday and fell 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Peyton Moore and Paige Hopkins did some serious damage despite the final result: Moore went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and four runs, while Hopkins went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Moore continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Cameron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Cameron might still be hurting after the 14-6 defeat they got from Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
