Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilman). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Chesapeake Cougars 13-11. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Greyhounds as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Gilman's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Chesapeake, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Gilman will host Landon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
