Baseball Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes a Loss

The Eastern Randolph Wildcats lost 14-4 to the Southeast Alamance Stallions on Wednesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Wright was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles were his first of the season. Chance Holdaway was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Eastern Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Southeast Alamance, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Eastern Randolph will challenge Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southeast Alamance, they will square off against Southwestern Randolph at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
