Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Takes a Loss

P.K. Yonge lost against Bradford back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Wave fell just short of the Tornadoes by a score of 8-7. The Blue Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Mansfield made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Sutton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

P.K. Yonge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Bradford, they pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, P.K. Yonge will square off against Hawthorne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Wave's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Bradford, they will venture away from home to take on Buchholz at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
