North Central Kansas recap October 29, 2013

Abilene led North Central Kansas in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Abilene.

Clay Center's dynamic duo of Ian Roetman and Daniel Graves proved tough for Colby to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Roetman threw for 25 yards and 1 touchdown and Graves had 30 yards receiving. Gabe Ware helped Clay Center's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.

Kody Gregory provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers beat the Eagles.

Ricky Huse made the biggest impact on defense this week as Clay Center bested Colby. The 5-foot-9 junior pulled down 1 interception and recorded 1 fumble.

Wamego's Kyler Alderson and Trenton York led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Alderson has thrown for 1,715 yards this season, while York has 27 catches for 567 yards. Concordia's Drake Hake leads the league in rushing yards with 655.

As it stands, the Panthers are in fourth, while Todd Rice's team is in second.

The Tigers made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,583 from 6,996. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 43-6 victory over Chris Gardner's team last week.
