Basketball Recap: Moorestown Drops Highest Score of Season Against Burlington Township

Moorestown scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 69-62 to the Burlington Township Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Falcons are ranked 34th).

Burlington Township was led to victory by Baron Davis and Quayd Hendryx. Davis went 8-for-13 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds, while Hendryx went 7-for-13 to rack up 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most points Davis has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Larbie, who put up ten points.

Moorestown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Burlington Township, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Moorestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burlington Township, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons duke it out with the Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
