Basketball Game Preview: Greeley Central Wildcats vs. Wellington Eagles

The Greeley Central Wildcats will square off against the Wellington Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Greeley Central and 16 for Wellington.

Greeley Central is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 1, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Roosevelt 72-24. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Wellington took a blow against Northridge on Friday, falling 74-41. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 105th).

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Greeley Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
