Soccer Recap: Christian County Comes Up Short

Christian County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the University Heights Blazers. While losing is never fun, Christian County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while University Heights are ranked 13th).

Christian County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for University Heights, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian County will face off against Union County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Christian County will be up against Union County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.7 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for University Heights, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bishop Brossart at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
