Volleyball Recap: Coral Springs Comes Up Short

Coral Springs and Suncoast squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Coral Springs had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Colts have suffered since April 14th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, 25-10.

Joel Jobi paced Coral Springs' offense, picking up two kills. Jobi got some help from Mickinson Jean-Mary and his four assists.

Suncoast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Smith led the charge by getting five digs and three aces. What's more, Smith posted four kills, the most he's had over his last six contests.

Coral Springs moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Suncoast, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

Coral Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Suncoast, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Archbishop McCarthy on the 9th.
