The Scappoose Indians will square off against the Scio Loggers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, Scappoose made easy work of Tillamook and carried off a 16-5 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Cheesemakers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Scappoose let Ava Freeman and Sophia Bloyd run wild. Freeman fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3, while Bloyd went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. What's more, Freeman posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Brainerd, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Scappoose always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tillamook only posted an OBP of .261.

Meanwhile, Scio got themselves on the board against Amity on Tuesday, but Amity never followed suit. They blew past the Warriors 21-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Loggers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Scio pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average this season. As for Scappoose, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
