Volleyball Recap: Christopher Cougars vs. Branham Bruins
Christopher was the 3-2 winner over Branham when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Christopher Cougars came up short against the Branham Bruins on Wednesday, falling 3-0.
Christopher was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Branham work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-12, 25-18.
Cc Bonnard had an outrageously good game for Branham as she had 18 digs. Bonnard is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Christopher now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Branham, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christopher will square off against Ann Sobrato at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Christopher has lost three straight at home , while Ann Sobrato has lost five on the road. As for Branham, they will take on Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
