Basketball Game Preview: Westside Christian Eagles vs. Creswell Bulldogs

The Westside Christian Eagles will take on the Creswell Bulldogs in a tournament on Monday. One thing working in Westside Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Westside Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Horizon Christian with a sharp 76-50 win on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Hawks are ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Creswell unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Sisters by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since December 4, 2023.

Westside Christian pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Creswell, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Westside Christian took their win against Creswell when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 56-32. Will Westside Christian repeat their success, or does Creswell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
