A Season-Best Performance from Mekhi Wade Leads Lincoln County over Washington-Wilkes

Lincoln County was led to victory by Mekhi Wade, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wade rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 166 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023.

The win for Lincoln County keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Wade and Lincoln County will take on Lake Oconee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Washington-Wilkes had no answer to Norman as he picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown. Norman showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 66 yards.

This year, Norman has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 22.3 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 21.83 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 61.17 rushing yards.
