Baseball Recap: West Michigan Christian Has No Trouble Against Saginaw

West Michigan Christian won the last time they faced Saginaw and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 15-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Peyton Lowell, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Harris, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

West Michigan Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Saginaw, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, West Michigan Christian will take on Lapeer East at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Saginaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
