Football Recap: West-Oak Comes Up Short

West-Oak fell victim to Belton-Honea Path and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Bears, falling 63-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 55-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Mj Earl produced another solid performance rushing for 74 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, while also catching one TD for Belton-Honea Path. Earl has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Noah Thomas was another key player, throwing for 130 yards and three touchdowns.

West-Oak's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Belton-Honea Path, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coincidentally, West-Oak and Belton-Honea Path will both be playing Crescent the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
