Basketball Recap: Coconino Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Coconino had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 58-46 win over the Tempe Buffaloes. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Deryke Tucker and Avery Murphy certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Tucker almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards, while Murphy posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylann Hendrix Meadows, who earned five points.

This is the second loss in a row for Tempe and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Coconino and Cactus will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Tempe, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-64 loss against Mica Mountain on the 24th.
