Soccer Game Preview: Eagan vs. Apple Valley

The Eagan Wildcats will head out to square off against the Apple Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Eagan is headed into the contest having not lost since September 16 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Eastview get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for Eagan in their matchups with Eastview: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, neither Apple Valley nor Lakeville South could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. That draw made it three straight for Apple Valley.

Eagan's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-4. Apple Valley's draw makes their record 6-4-4 this season.

Eagan took their win against Apple Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
