Monett waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sarcoxie Bears. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Cubs this season.

Monett never let Sarcoxie on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 25-19.

Peyton Brandt paced Monett's offense, picking up 18 kills. Brandt got some help from Morgan Wright and her 35 assists. Brandt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Monett's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Sarcoxie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Monett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Parkview on the 11th. As for Sarcoxie, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against New Heights Christian Academy on the 11th.
