Baseball Recap: Wray Find Success

13 must be Wray's lucky number: they beat Holyoke with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Eagles didn't even let the Dragons on the board, marking the Eagles' second-straight 13-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Saturday.

Gabe Kechter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kechter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Broderick Kite, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Helling, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Wray back to even at 3-3. As for Holyoke, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Wray will head out to square off against Akron at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holyoke, they will welcome Merino at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
