Volleyball Recap: Jackson Memorial Find Success

The Jackson Memorial Jaguars earned a 2-0 win over the Freehold Boro Colonials on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

While Jackson Memorial won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22.

Daniel Barry paced Jackson Memorial's offense, picking up nine kills. Barry got some help from Reyhan Talib and his 21 assists. Finally, Dean Elkhouly kept Jackson Memorial's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Jackson Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Freehold Boro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Jackson Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Barnegat on the 10th. Freehold Boro has also already played their next game (against Howell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
