Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kingwood Park walked away with it. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Brenham Cubs on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Aden Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon Coburn, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Blake Heckman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Kingwood Park's victory bumped their record up to 25-7-1. As for Brenham, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11-1.
