Softball Recap: Chino Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chino can now relate to. They fell just short of the Indio Rajahs by a score of 15-13 on Thursday. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Kaylee Cardoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Samantha Juarez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Chino's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Indio, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Chino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indio, they are taking a road trip to face off against Northview at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Rajahs surely won't give up without a fight.
