Softball Recap: Nordonia Comes Up Short

The Nordonia Knights came up short against the Holy Name Green Wave on Monday and fell 8-3.

Nordonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Ritchie, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Nordonia has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Holy Name, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nordonia will face off against Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Name, they will square off against Beaumont School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.41 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of.
