Towson came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Gilman Greyhounds with a sharp 16-4 victory. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Towson pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Gilman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

Towson will square off against Hereford on Monday. As for Gilman, they will host Loyola Blakefield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Dons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
