Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Comes Up Short

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-28 loss at the hands of the Rock Point Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Yetis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Cougars are ranked 98th).

BASIS Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Rock Point, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BASIS Flagstaff has already played their next game (against St. Michael), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Rock Point Cougars take on the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Dishchii'bikoh likes a good challenge.
