After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Halls brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against the Haywood Tomcats on Monday as the Halls Tigers made off with a 13-5 win. Halls' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Samuel Wilson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Benson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Halls' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Haywood, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Halls will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Crockett County at 5:30 p.m. As for Haywood, they will be playing at home against Dyersburg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
