Baseball Recap: Pikesville's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Pikesville suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Dulaney Lions by a score of 9-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 11-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Spencer Evans made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kairee Williams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Evans wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Pikesville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pikesville fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Pikesville will take on Hereford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dulaney, they will challenge Westminster at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
