Wynot had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Creighton on Friday. The Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 60-26. With the Blue Devils ahead 44-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Devin Brummer had an outrageously good game as he threw for 160 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 42 yards and one TD. Those 42 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Killian Steinhaus was another key player, picking up 49 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wynot's run defense was locked in: Creighton could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, Steinhaus stood above the rest. He picked up 49 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Wynot's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Kuhl, who threw for 125 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Coen Horstmann also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.

Wynot's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Creighton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wynot will venture away from home to square off against Archangels Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Creighton, they will square off against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
