Basketball Game Preview: Polytechnic Parrots vs. North Side Steers

The Polytechnic Parrots are taking a road trip to face off against the North Side Steers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Side took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Polytechnic, who comes in off a win.

Polytechnic took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wyatt, sneaking past 30-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Parrots have posted since December 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Paschal and fell 81-44. While losing is never fun, the Steers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1270th, while the Panthers are ranked 178th).

North Side's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Polytechnic, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Polytechnic came up short against North Side in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 40-36. Can Polytechnic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
