Volleyball Game Preview: Strathmore Spartans vs. Granite Hills Grizzlies

Strathmore is 9-1 against Granite Hills since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Spartans will challenge the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. Strathmore will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Strathmore was able to grind out a solid victory over Corcoran, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-28, 25-10, 25-13.

Tylie Dement was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Strathmore was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills lost 3-0 to Woodlake on Thursday. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Granite Hills was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Strathmore's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Granite Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 8-22.

Strathmore took their victory against Granite Hills when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
