Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-24 loss at the hands of the First Baptist Christian Warriors. The Saints lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-53 score last time.

Micah Shrum was nothing short of spectacular for First Baptist Christian: he dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and 13 assists.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for First Baptist Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Humble Christian the next time they take the court. Faith Christian will host Humble Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while First Baptist Christian will head out to face them on Saturday.
