Soccer Recap: Fort Payne Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Fort Payne kept a clean sheet against Helena on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Helena Huskies. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Hayden Chambers was the driving force of Fort Payne's attack as he scored both of Fort Payne's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Fort Payne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. Helena now has a losing record of 4-5-1.

Coming up, Fort Payne will square off against Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Helena, they will head out on the road to challenge McAdory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAdory will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Helena surely won't give up without a fight.
