Volleyball Recap: Warren Warriors vs. Waverly Tigers

Warren was the 3-0 winner over Waverly when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Tigers on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 19-25, 25-10, 25-15.

Sydney Starcher paced Warren's offense, picking up 20 kills. Starcher got some help from Mya Stemple and her 33 assists. Stemple also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elayna Greenwalt, each putting up two.

Waverly found their leader in sophomore Hadley Ramsey, who had nine digs and one assist.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Waverly, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Warren does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waverly, they will venture away from home to take on Circleville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
