Baseball Recap: Canyon Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Canyon won against Redondo Union last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Canyon Comanches sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the San Juan Hills Stallions. The win was familiar territory for the Comanches, who have now won three contests in a row.

The team relied heavily on Blake Lau, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Lloyd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Canyon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for San Juan Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon will venture away from home to take on Pacifica at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Juan Hills, they are taking a road trip to face off against Corona del Mar at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
