Softball Recap: Sheridan Has No Trouble Against Searcy

Sheridan had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Searcy on Monday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Skylar Sterritt was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sadie Sterritt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Sheridan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Searcy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Sheridan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
