Baseball Recap: Lansdowne Takes a Loss

Lansdowne lost against Sparrows Point back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 14-2 to the Pointers. The Vikings' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Michael Lambert was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tyler Umstead also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Lansdowne's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Sparrows Point, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Lansdowne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 win against Loch Raven on the 1st. As for Sparrows Point, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-3 victory against Perry Hall on the 1st.
