Baseball Recap: North Plainfield Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

North Plainfield dropped their record down to 8-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the South River Rams, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Canucks were not able to get on the board.

As for South River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

For South River's part, Julius Rosado was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Rams are undefeated when Rosado posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

Looking ahead, South River will head out on the road to face off against Princeton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Plainfield will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' game: after the Rams face off against the Tigers, they'll take on North Plainfield again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
