Basketball Recap: Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against CHASE

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lapeer Lakers Homeschool). They really took it to CHASE for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-26 win. The Lakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Lapeer Lakers Homeschool to victory were Aiden Lomasney and Reed Cotton. Lomasney went 10 of 15 en route to 25 points, while Cotton went 7 for 9 on his way to 19 points. With that strong performance, Cotton is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hayse, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Lapeer Lakers Homeschool pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lapeer Lakers Homeschool will square off against Wyoming HomeSchool at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for CHASE, they will challenge Bethany Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
