David Harvey and Devin Davis provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bishop McNamara. The connection was good for 75 yards, the longest such play in Chicago Public Illini - Heartland this season.
Harper fell to the Fightin' Irish 39-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Harvey was a bright spot for the Cardinals, as he threw for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss.
Harper's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Davis chipped in 70 yards. Sandillo Wright helped Harper's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 45 yards.
Davis was the best running back in the league this week. In 6 carries, he ran for 70 yards as Maris Carroll's team fell to Bishop McNamara. Teammate Wright added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.
Harper's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Harvey has thrown for 1,227 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Davis has 22 catches for 580 yards.
The Cardinals made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,281 from 7,716. The improvement was largely due to a 39-14 victory over Harper last week.
