Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, Mt. Pleasant was not quite Classical's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They lost 66-42 to the Classical Purple. The loss continues a trend for the Kilties in their matchups with the Purple: they've now lost six in a row.

Classical's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abdul Evans led the charge by putting up 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Fitzpatrick, who posted 14 points.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Classical, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant has already played their next match (against La Salle Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Classical has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Bishop Hendricken.
