Football Recap: Lynnfield Comes Up Short

Lynnfield fell victim to Wakefield Memorial and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Warriors 28-0. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Matt Tracy threw for 33 yards on six of 14 attempts. On the ground, Daniel Lemieux rushed for 37 yards.

Lynnfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wakefield Memorial, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lynnfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-14 win against Ipswich on the 26th. As for Wakefield Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-40 defeat against Beverly on the 26th.
