Basketball Recap: Locust Grove Comes Up Short

Locust Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Stockbridge Tigers and fell 53-18. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while the Tigers are ranked 50th).

Locust Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Stockbridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Locust Grove will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Stockbridge and Riverwood will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th.
