Basketball Recap: The O'neal School's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

The O'Neal School waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Fayetteville Christian Warriors by a score of 33-26. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-15 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The O'Neal School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedi Hamner, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Hamner is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jamaya Hooker, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points.

The O'Neal School has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points per game. As for Fayetteville Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, The O'Neal School and Fayetteville Christian will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Fayetteville Christian will host Trinity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while The O'Neal School will host them at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th.
