Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Saint Andrew's

Calvary Christian Academy is 0-6 against Saint Andrew since December of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scots at 6:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Calvary Christian Academy and Cardinal Gibbons finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. There's a chance things could've gone differently had Calvary Christian Academy not been charged with a red card from Marcelo Jones.

Calvary Christian Academy's goal came courtesy of Kyle Sweet, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Saint Andrew's contest on Tuesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand FAU High a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Saint Andrew's, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Saint Andrew's has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. With that draw, Calvary Christian Academy's record moves to 3-5-2.

Calvary Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Saint Andrew's when the teams last played back in November. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
