Basketball Game Preview: Genesee Bulldogs vs. Nezperce Nighthawks

The Genesee Bulldogs will take on the Nezperce Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Genesee will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Clearwater Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Genesee came out on top against Clearwater Valley by a score of 51-43 on Monday.

Genesee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Bollman out in front who went 7 for 14 en route to 19 points. Joshua Ketcheson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Genesee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nezperce, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 57-53 W over Deary on Friday.

Nezperce's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Genesee, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Things could have been worse for Genesee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-43 loss to Nezperce when the teams last played back in January.
