Softball Recap: Stuarts Draft Gets the Win

Stuarts Draft proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nelson County Governors, sneaking past 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Governors: they've now won three in a row.

Lillian Krieg was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Stuarts Draft's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Nelson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuarts Draft will welcome Rockbridge County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nelson County, they will face off against Dan River at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
