Marist came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the East Coweta Indians. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Marist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sawyer Straley, who had six digs and five assists. That's the most assists Straley has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Grace Kipers, who had seven assists and four digs.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for East Coweta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Marist and East Coweta will both be playing Woodstock the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Wolverines at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
