Softball Recap: East's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

East entered their tilt with Highland on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rams 18-1. 18 seems to be a good number for the Leopards as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

East got a massive performance out of Jewelianna Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Loisi Ete was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

East pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Highland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

East wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-6 victory against West on the 6th. Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
